UHK 60 v2 production progress

Hi there, and welcome to this monthly UHK status update!

We keep catching up with pending orders, although slower than anticipated because the current global affairs slowed down parts shipping from our suppliers like never before. Thankfully, we've got the parts we were waiting for; we're stocking up and focusing on delivering pending orders as quickly as possible.

New orders are expected to ship in July, and we’ll update the delivery status page every weekend.

We’re delighted to hear from UHK 60 v2 customers as they receive their orders. If you got your UHK, tweet about it, or it didn’t happen!

Thanks for reading this update! We’ll be keeping you updated on all things UHK and plan to publish the next update at the end of May.

    Hi,
Quick question. From the update page, it is unclear to me how many non-black cases are to be sent.

Like, my order is #9830 and I see that now you are by order #8806. When would I expect mine to be shipped? Perhaps if you share percentage of non-black cases I can do my estimates too.

    Thanks!

      Hi Lucas,

There are few orders left before #10304, so we expect to ship your order this week or the next one.

      Thanks for your patience!

Hi - has been using the keyboard for some time. It has been great, but one suggestion on the trackball plugin. It would be great to have the plugin tilted down instead of being parallel with the rest of the keyboard. It would be more ergonomic for the trackball to be tilted downwards so that it would be more comfortable for the thumb!

Hi there, and thanks for your suggestion! I agree that the suggested design would be better ergonomically. We'll do our best when designing the next version of the trackball module.

My order #12920 is currently processing. Any ETA on when it might be shipped?

Hi Daniel! Please check out the delivery status page. Production has been moving slowly in the last week or two, but our contract manufacturer will finish migrating to their new facility soon, at which point things are expected to speed up. Thanks for your patience!

Daniel, I had my keyboard expected delivery in January 2022, it's still at least a month away, probably 2, just saying. I'm sure there will be more hickups. Take their expected delivery, and at least double it. They use very optimistic estimates

Cheers, may you tell me your order number?
They estimate my delivery for June 2022, just to see how long I have to wait...

my order is 11019. So I'm pretty far from receiving it. I just can't recommend people waiting this long, I'd pay double the price of UHK if I could get it within a month, but now I've already waited, you know how that feels like.
When I read the news about the facility, I just instantly knew it was not gonna take one week, but two, as was the case.

If you're gonna buy UHK, you better have a really good keyboard already to survive the wait.

Just for the record, we've updated our estimates to be less optimistic. We push as hard as we can regardless.

Hi Laszlo. I'm sure you guys aren't slacking, but I would advice doing something to close the delivery gap. I'm sure the keyboard is gonna live up to the expectations, and I'm glad there are businesses that focus on quality over mass production. Still, it's hard for me to recommend the UHK to a friend when the delivery is this long.

Thanks for your constructive words, Kenneth, but we're trying harder than ever to close the gap. Multiple factors make it more challenging than ever to produce UHKs. One of them is the chip shortage, which makes us search for all the ship suppliers, and beg them to provide us chips for "only" ten times the price that we normally pay. Then we make the purchase and absorb the extra expenses.

Are you telling me you haven't received it yet?
