Extra case colors on the horizon!

Now that we have reached our goal what’s next?

Colored cases! If the funding amount reaches $230,000, we’ll make more case colour options available. And these cases are molded out of colored plastic, so there’s no paint to peel off. Take the poll below, and help us choose which colors should be available - we’re super excited to hear your preferences.

    I suggest Clear.

    Congratulations!

One question: Wouldn't custom keycap printing (i. e. by country/language) be much more useful than case color, which is mere aesthetics? I was waiting for this point to be confirmed (or not) before pledging. Is it already possible, or would it require a higher stretch goal?

Thanks for the congrats, Jorge! You're totally right - I admit that custom labelling would be even more useful, but not only it'd be much more expensive; it'd take much more labor and time. We really want to focus on our core offering and not take any side paths in order to deliver on time. We plan to provide custom labelling eventually but certainly not before shipping. I'm very sorry if it's a deal breaker for you.

Thank you for your reply, László. I understand your reasons. I'll wait for next versions of the UHK. Patience pays off :)
And congratulations again for the successful funding, now that it's definitely over!

Oops, it's not over yet, so it can get even better!
          Good luck!

Totally understand the keycap printing needing to be somewhat static, but would absolutely love to see the Linux Penguin on the "Windows Key" instead of the plain text being proposed now.

        • László Monda 2015-12-13 at 01:42

We'd also like to provide a penguin key, but currently we have to order at least 100 indentical keycap sets from our supplier. Over time, we're considering to purchase a CO2 laser, enabling us to provide you custom printed keycaps. Even though chances are this won't happen anytime soon, we'd love to make it happen eventually.

Given the amount of care and detail put into the project - how about transparent?

    • László Monda 2015-12-13 at 19:30

You're the second guy who suggested transparent, so we should really look into it. :) Let's talk about this option with the team and see what we can do.

    Sziasztok!

Nagyon jó a termék! Gratulálok a fejlesztéshez!
Nekem az lenne a kérdésem, hogy mikortól lesz elérhető nagyker mennyiségben és milyen piacokra lesz elérhető a billentyűzet? (usa, uk)

    Üdv!
    Norbert
