UHK 60 v2 production progress

We keep catching up with pending orders, we’ve received a record number of excited tweets from new UHK owners, and we’ve just added a new member to our assembly team to accelerate production.

New orders are expected to ship in May, and we’ll update the delivery status page every weekend.

We still only have black cases. If you have a pending order containing a UHK 60 v2 with a non-black case or an extra non-black case, we won’t send your pending orders to production until we have non-black cases in stock unless you ask us to switch the case colors of your order to black by filling out this form.

Manufacturing non-black cases is taking longer than anticipated. Still, we expect to have them in a week or two, at which point, we’ll publish an exclusive newsletter with a form via which you’ll be able to switch (back) to your desired case color.

We’re delighted to hear from UHK 60 v2 customers as they receive their orders. If you got your UHK, tweet about it, or it didn’t happen!

Thanks for reading this update! We’ll be keeping you updated on all things UHK and plan to publish the next update at the end of March.

The comments are closed, but our forum is available for public discussion.

Hm, sucks to hear about non-black cases. How firm do you think 1-2 weeks is at this time? I'm a little tempted to switch to a black case if it'll be longer than that.

This ETA is quite firm, and we expect non-black cases this week.

Excellent! Sounds like they're done and in the shipping pipeline, but due to everything just being slow. I'll wait then! =D

Have you gotten the colored cases yet? ✌️

Any update on the non-black cases? It's been 2 weeks, sounded like they should be about to you, even if you're not quite ready to send them out to people yet.

Ha! Just in time for my question :)

I presume it might be a few days, week or so, before you get them unpacked/sorted/assembled and on the way for those of us who would have already shipped if you had had the colored cases in on time?

          • László Monda 2022-03-16 at 17:25

Yes, we expect about a week.

Hi, Thanks for the updates. I read from the post that the UHK v2 non black case keyboard will start production in a week or two. I have an order that was dated back to December 2020 ( non black case UHK v2 ). Will I be expecting the keyboard to arrive by the end of March?

    • László Monda 2022-03-01 at 12:54

Hi there! Yes, we expect to deliver your order in March.

Well, I waited this long for my colored cases, whats two more weeks I guess. 😅

    • László Monda 2022-03-01 at 12:57

      Thanks for your patience! :)

I'm so jealous of the people who already got their keyboards!
Can't wait to get my hands on mine.

    Congratulations on the new member!
    Keep up the great work!

Great work as always, guys! And also great to see you adding new team members! 🙂

I see that my order is almost up now (about 100 to go, based on the delivery status page), so I guess that means mine will ship this week or next week? I'm so excited for it! 🙂

Hi there, and thanks for the kind words! :) We expect to ship your order in March.

I got my keyboard a few months ago and to say it's an amazing product is an understatement. I expected the great build quality, I didn't expect the software and customization to be so well done.
Regarding that, is there a development estimate for the new firmware?

    • László Monda 2022-03-01 at 13:01

Thanks for the kind words, and glad you're satisfied with the software experience! The new Agent and firmware releases will pack quite a punch, and I expect to release them in a month or two.

Just updated the page. Sorry for the delay.

hi,I just received the V2, but The X key does not respond, and the X key has been mapped in the agent.

    • László Monda 2022-03-09 at 07:06

Hi there! It's probably because of your OS layout. See this article.

I received my UHK about a month ago, and I really, really love it! After some experimenting with tenting/tilting, I think negative tilt is the way to go for me - it's a game changer! I als contacted regarding issues with the feet on the UHK, and the customer service was impeccable, truly professional.

I had one question: is it possible for me to lube the stabilizers for the enter & left shift keys without disassembling the UHK? If so, how would you go about doing it? I was able to remove the keycaps with ease, but the stabilizers seemed difficult to reach...

    • László Monda 2022-03-10 at 10:23

Thanks for your kind words. We're happy for you!

After removing the keycap, you can remove the switch, and afterward, you should be able to remove the stabilizers, too. You don't need to disassemble your whole UHK.

Would be cool if y'all posted some simple instructions on the matter. Videos would likely be the best medium for this sorta thing.
No high production quality needed, just show the noobs like myself what steps to take.

        • László Monda 2022-03-10 at 19:27

Just made a video on removing a stabilizer. It's clearly of low production quality. :)

          • Doyoon Kim 2022-03-10 at 19:43

Thanks so much! The video really helps. I just removed, lubed, and re-installed all the stabilizers. Much much better sounding now! There’s three in total, right? Left shift, right control, and right shift? As an aside, you make removing the switches seem so easy lol. I have broken so many switches on other keyboards when I tried to pull them out…

          • László Monda 2022-03-11 at 08:02

Yes, the mentioned 3 keys have stabilizers. Practice makes you perfect! :)

I'ver had mine about a month now and for those waiting, don't lose hope! This keyboard is absolutely amazing, easily the best I've ever owned. I too had the problem with the feet and the customer service was outstanding! Thanks Lázló and team!

Personally, I dispensed with the left Fn mapping, using it instead to bind Hyper in Emacs. Right Fn to activate the layer is enough for me. I'm trying to decide now whether I should bind Alt to Alt (it's Meta now) and Mod or a key cluster key to Meta. I still use the Mod layer a lot so either it's key cluster or mapping Mod to the left case button (I don't use it for Space). Or just use the right case button Mod.

Decisions, decisions. Good problem to have.

    • Laur 2022-03-11 at 10:35

Always cool to read about others' use-cases. I decided to replicate the thinkpad experience for the bottom left modifiers. Helps to keep the confusion down whenever I'm forced to part ways from UHK.

Have to admit I've yet to start using the Fn key myself. What are you using it for - media controls and the likes?
