The specification of the bridge cable we provide:
- For the UHK 60: 11cm collapsed – 30cm expanded, or 0.35 – 1 foot, cross-over wiring
- For the UHK 80: 13cm collapsed - 45cm expanded, or 0.45 - 1.5 feet, straight-through wiring
The bridge cable is not necessary for the UHK 80 because it's a fully wireless keyboard; however, it's useful if you want to permanently power the halves from a single USB cable.
Even though we don't offer an alternative bridge cable, you should be able to make, get made, or purchase one easily and cheaply. The following criteria apply:
- The cable must utilize 4P4C jacks on its end.
- The cable must feature 4 wires to connect each of the 4 pins of the jacks.
- The cable should be as short as possible for the UHK 60. The longer the cable, the higher the chance it'll cause your UHK 60 to malfunction. If you need a long cable, use a straight cable instead of a spiral cable to minimize overall length. Then, you can go as long as about 3 meters.
- Depending on your UHK model, the jacks' wiring must be cross-over for the UHK 60 or straight-through for the UHK 80.
