Some customers have reported that their trackpoint module sometimes makes the mouse cursor drift. This is because the auto-calibration mechanism of the trackpoint hardware kicks in when resting a finger on the trackpoint for several seconds. This issue also affects the trackpoints of IBM ThinkPad laptops, but given their location, they're not as affected by resting fingers as the UHK trackpoint module. Avoiding resting your fingers on the trackpoint should make this a non-issue. Starting from firmware 10.5.0, the UHK almost always automatically recovers from the drift in several seconds. Additionally, you can map the resetTrackpoint smart macro command to any key or button to quickly recover from drifting.
